Steven Bush is a photographer, freelance photojournalist, and musician based in Austin, TX. He also serves as a Minister of Mercy and Storyteller at The Austin Stone. He is a simple yet complicated man that doesn’t express himself very well. He is in love with a beautiful woman named Maris who just so happened to say yes when he asked her to marry him. He is the proud father of a beautiful little boy named August that they adopted from Nashville. Steven gets the awesome opportunity to travel this world playing music that he hopes brings healing to the hurt, hope to the hopeless, love to the loveless, and grace to the graceless. He takes every chance he gets to bring that world back home through his photography.
He loves God, his family, people, the poor and oppressed, and the least of these. Steven is a story teller, and he has a heart and desire to see justice and hope brought to this broken world. He uses photography to do just that. He wants his photography to bridge the gap between the have’s and have-not’s. He wants his photography to bring awareness to the injustices of this world, and in turn inspire people to action. Steven truly believes that we can bring change to this broken world through faith, hope, and love.
